Strong brewing links

Sint-Sebastiaan Belgian Microbrewery or SBM has its origins in Sterkens Brewery, located in the north of Belgium, country of special beers. One can definitely say that Sterkens Brewery has great experience in brewing high-quality beers. For more than 350 years (or 9 Sterkens generations) today’s owners and their ancestors have been brewing special Belgian ales and lagers.

The St. Sebastiaan Dark and Grand-Cru, as well as the other brands St. Paul Double and Triple, Poorter and Bokrijks Kruikenbier of the Sterkens brewery are exported all over the world, to more than 25 countries. The famous beerhunter, Michael Jackson, visited the brewery, called them all exquisite beers and even said that the Bokrijks Kruikenbier has to be included among the world’s best beers.

Co-operation between SBM and Sterkens brewery

The know-how built up by Sterkens Brewery is used for the microbrewery and brewpub products and services of SBM. Also on this level, SBM differentiates itself strongly from its competitors by being a brewer that only manufactures quality brewing equipment. In other words, we are not a stainless steel manufacturer that produces dairy equipment, wine equipment and also does some beer equipment on the side to supplement sales. At SBM we only do beer, from the design of the equipment up to the moment the bottles or kegs leave your facility.
